Love, Fear, Your Mind, and Health

Every day I am blessed and honored to be able to take care of so many families in the community, including my own. I am truly honored and thankful for the trust that people put in me to help guide them with their healthcare. Over the past four and a half years in practice, I have learned that your mind plays an important role in how fast we heal or get sick. We all have personal issues that come up, it’s how we deal with those issues that determine if we are going to thrive or decline.

I know, there are two forces that really matter in this life. The force of FEAR and the force of LOVE. In every moment, every choice, every action, we are either moving towards fear or towards love. Fear comes in many forms and weakens your spirit. Other names for fear is anger, jealousy, frustration, self-doubt all come under the banner of fear. Love on the other hand is everything that lights you up! It’s joy, it's contentment, it's acceptance, it's generosity. It’s trusting that you are in a partnership with something much bigger and powerful than yourself, it’s true love, and it lives within you. Reach inside and unleash the flow of love and unleash the miracles inside by believing in yourself and the amazing potential you express inside your self.

I see so many people get down on themselves and forget the power of love inside them. It is easy to do when we have so much stress in our lives. I know because it happens to me too. Recently, I’ve had stresses in my personal life. Stress causes us to become subluxated and increases our risks of becoming sick. The first step in preventing illness is working on your mindset and loving yourself.

Love is a force that is irresistible. It attracts everything positive in our life. Heals our wounds, calms our worries, and more than any other energy brings us back to who we really are. From the heart, love flows as gently as our breathing. The heart is the place where we feel love, express love, and share love. As you explore your hearts center, you will find that love is not something that you have to look for from others. Love is actually our true nature. It’s who we are. We have all experienced what love can be through our relationships.  Everyone would call the need for love one of the highest needs that anyone has in their life, but even the strongest love can come and go. Love can be so intense that it is painful and we fear its loss which can be devastating. Let’s approach love in a new way, as an aspect of yourself that never withers and that no one can take from you. The most beautiful experience is to connect to the source of love within, which can be gentle or intense but brings no fear. You will discover that instead of love being something that you wait for, look for, and try to deserve is another kind, which we call unconditional. At its source love is always unconditional. If you have a dog you know what I’m talking about. The best example is when I come home each day, no matter what, she is so happy to see me. She does not judge or have anger. Why don’t we apply that same kind of unconditional love to ourselves?  We put limits on love because we judge ourselves as unworthy of receiving love that has no conditions on it. But once you awaken the essence of love within, you begin to experience that love is a natural aspect of your true self. Then you can build upon this experience for the rest of your life.

A great way to do this is wake up everyday doing affirmations. Affirmations are positive thoughts or sayings that prep you for your day. Another great way to accomplish this is meditation. This is one of my favorite ways to get my mind healthy. After meditating last night I was inspired to write this. Sitting in a quiet room and ridding your body of negative thoughts while allowing positive and empowering thoughts to enter your mind and body using a meditation thought for the day: for example use, my love and compassion are within.

Of course, my absolute favorite way to have a healthy mind is to get adjusted! Chiropractic adjustments rid the body of stress so that the mind can work better. Chiropractic adjustments help relieve stress, help with anxiety, depression, help people sleep better, have clearer thinking, and much more!

DON’T GIVE UP ON LOVE! If you need help with affirmations or meditation ask me during your next adjustment! Why not refer someone you love? I would be happy to help!
